Starting and stopping the service did not work.

That's exactly what I'm saying (it doesn't even say LPT1 Printer Port, no list of ports, nothing). Everything is blank, there is nothing to click on.

The services.msc option did not work and, to be honest, I'm not exactly sure how to use the compatability program. I just don't understand why there are no existing printer ports...so frustrating!!!!
