Ok! problem solved!!! I am using a Sound Blaster card but Windows decided to install drivers for my on-board sound card. Realtek AC'97 Audio and Windows 7 don't play nice together!! Disabled it and control panel is back!!! :D Ralph
Yea i agree it looks great and I like the new features. But not being able to access the control panel is a real pain in the brainpan! I will keep trying to find a solution...!!! Ralph
That was the first thing I tried. Twice and on two PC's for good measure... Thanks anyway. If this kinda stuff is what i can expect from Windows 7 it's back to Windows XP Pro for me... Maybe they will get it right in Windows 8?? :-)
Every time i open the control panel a message window opens saying that windows explorer has stopped working! Then any option that window offers resets my desktop and bye bye control panel!!! :mad: Very annoying problem... Anyone else have this problem and know of a solution or workaround...
