Well the only things I had a problem with were the drivers for the card reader and the multi-media controller. The card reader finally updated through Windows Update (2 days after install :confused:). The other I still haven't got back to working on but I am not sure how important it is for...

If you search Sony's site for your model you will find a page that has a link for Windows 7 upgrade. click that link and see if your model is to be supported. If it is not, you will be in a bind. My wife's model VGC-LT15E (desktop) was not supported and I had to do a little tweaking to get...

Thanks for the input:) I actually have Defender disabled since I am using Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). Based on what you said I will look into MSE and see if it is interferring some how.

Well I tried to see if the indexing was some how involved but even when I re-index the locations it still slows down. I could see how this behavior would happen if I was trying to view files on others computers (in my Homegroup) but all these files are on my local machine:confused: So I guess...

No. Windows 7 uses permissions to control user access to files and folders. You can probably find a program to do it or encrypt the folder.

Just google it. Look here and find (ctrl+f) the number. It might help you.

I would say yes but its your call ;) If its critical then I would make sure you can do a full restore or clone/image the drive.

I did a quick search for your SD Card Reader (Express Cardâ„¢ Slot: 1 type /34 ??) and the company's site seem to state the card reader is discontinued. You might try checking again but if true then you might have to wait till someone finds a work around. Sorry:(
