Right. so Plan C worked - changing the network card! i have fully working internet with another adapter now. Trouble/Randy, i want to say THANK YOU very much for trying your best to help me, you're a great guy, and this is a great forum. i hope you will continue using your knowledge to help...
Plan A didn't make it work, Plan B i'm 100% sure will not work, as there is nothing wrong with the modem/router/switcher. Plan C i'll try when my dad comes home today, he got a few network cards, so we'll try some different ones. i'll post to let you know how it went.
Right, sorry about that. i did disable it, but tried re-enabling it. i'll disable it now and keep it disabled. I have done as you said and here are the results: ipconfig/release: ipconfig/renew: A new problem in troubleshooting: Btw if you have skype or teamviewer or something, maybe we...
i now tried to set my IP manually to 87.72.25.175, but that doesn't work neither. i'm guessing that it should show a default gateway, since it does that on ALL other working computers/connections ? :S
It's funny because i checked on my ISP's website, because you have to register your IP and mac-adress because you're only allowed to use 2 pc's at the network. And it said that my IP-adress is 87.72.25.175. (which is close to the other pc's IP, which makes good sense) as you wrote it's...
Here you go :) What i notice the difference is when comparing this to my own PC, is that on my own pc it doesnt show my ip-adress in the ipconfig, and it says that DHCP is not activated on mine. and it doesn't show the gateway number as i mentioned earlier?
You mean send it from a computer, who is using the same network, and just put the cable i'm using on this pc into? because i know the internet is working with my laptop, with the same cable i'm using now. But sure, i'll send the IP-config edit: nvm i misunderstood you, i know what you mean now...
It has 2 ports for voice communication (telephone), and 4 ports for networks (television, internet) Done as followed, will reboot now and post afterwards.
Yes i'm connected to the device my ISP provided, which is a router (i think xD) I already tried disabling it earlier, but it didn't help. i can try again though. Hmmm.. this is very odd, when i try to access "network and sharing center" it just freezes completely, i can move my mouse, but the...
Btw, the local area connection 2 is my iphone connection, as you can see at the name "apple mobile device ethernet" just so you know, and the local area connection is the one im having problems with. Thanks!
Thank you, i made it to 11. i went to drivers, to locate it, and i can't find the drivers i just installed in the list, as you see in this picture, i assigned it after "date modified", i want to include that it said driver succesfully installed and such:
