Windows 7 Windows Photo Viewer SLUGGISH

I notice that this bug is still around in the final retail verson of Windows 7 (I'm still using x64). I wonder why they could not fix this? I am unable to calibrate my display using the windows 7 calibration software, well, unless I don't mind Photo Viewer being slow as molasses (an understatement).

Windows 7 Windows Photo Viewer vs Calibrated Display Profile

I've been using Windows 7 x64 for quite a few months now, and there was a bug on the beta version that I thought was gone in the RC, but I see it's still here. Initially I was wondering why the Windows Photo Viewer was so darn sluggish compared to it's counterpart in Vista. From opening images...

    Windows 7 NVIDIA: 181.71 vs. 185.85

Actually, all of the newest drivers give me 2 instances, anything newer than 182's. Since so many other people say they get this too and it seems to be normal, I decided to live with it.

Windows 7 Windows Live Messenger Keeps Pausing

Well after 4 fresh installs of Windows 7 RC, no joy. Still the same pausing problems with Windows Live Messenger. I've traced the pattern down to this... It will work for about 2-3 minutes fine... then for 2-3 minutes the "pausing" happens. The "pausing" is this... when opening a new chat...

    Windows 7 NVIDIA: 181.71 vs. 185.85

I believe why some people aren't seeing two nvvsvc.exe's in Windows 7 with the latest 185 drivers is because they don't have Show Processes From All Users selected in Task Manager. When you use the default of showing current user only, I only see one instance with the new drivers.

    Windows 7 RC Themes

Yes, to be able to add your OWN pictures to the list of pre-installed WIndows Backgrounds without having to find them all on your HD and put them into your own custom directory would be nice! There should be a way to select the ones already shown in WINDOWS DESKTOP BACKGROUNDS, then add your...

    Windows 7 NVIDIA: 181.71 vs. 185.85

I have a few links I found on google complaining about dual instances of nvvsvc.exe, and two computers running W7 RC1 x64 with two instances of nvvsvc with the 185.85's

    Windows 7 NVIDIA: 181.71 vs. 185.85

Why not try something in between? I've heard a lot of good things about 182.50 which I'm currently using. I've read that 185.85's have a lot of little bugs, including showing 2 instances of the nvidia driver service (nvvsvc.exe) in the task manager, which is the main reason I ditched them.

Windows 7 Windows Live Messenger Keeps Pausing

Well, I did a fresh install of W7 RC on another machine and low and behold, similar problem with Live Messenger. Actually, instead of pausing and working again, Messenger just becomes totally unresponsive every 10 minutes or so, and you have to force it closed and restart Live Messenger. It...

    Windows 7 RC Themes

When you set the backgrounds to shuffle is there a way to add your own custom images to work along with the RC theme backgrounds? From what I've seen so far, you can have one or the other, not both.
