    Windows 8 I have a Windows 8.1 Laptop wi-fi problem

Well I am just going to say it is fixed, we came home and naturally it works there. I am sure this last solution might have worked, but she won't take it again. She thinks I spent too much vacation time trying to fix it. She's right as usual.

    Windows 8 I have a Windows 8.1 Laptop wi-fi problem

mine looks like a UN-healthy Wi-Fi network icon, When you hover over the icon it says networks are advailable, but when you click it to see the networks it then says none are available. I have been in advanced network settings and see no roadblocks there. I have re-booted half a dozen times or...

Windows 10 LITERALLY every page on Edge crashing

Okay, I'm on the road and could not get a internet connection at the motel. When I clicked the internet connection icon on the lower right taskbar, select the appropriate connection for the motel's internet, it would open Edge which would promptly die. So you could get no connection. I went...

In one of the threads below you placed a link to the Windows 10 download tools since finding that gem I have downloaded and installed Windows 10 to my homebuilt Win 8.1 Pro desktop, my 8.1 Pro MSI GX70 Laptop with it's APU in lieu of a CPU, my Microsoft Surface 2 Pro Tablet (Again 8.1 Pro) and...

Windows XP Does anyone plan on dropping XP?

I bought the Surface 2 as Win 8.1 and the Surface 2 was released, not a lot of research on my part. The same is true when I bought the Pro, The Warden liked hers so well that I just bought a Pro again with no real research. I both case I might have made a different choice had I been more...

Windows XP Does anyone plan on dropping XP?

Yes I never thought I would say it., but it is the Wardens tablet. I switched it to Korean for her, and she uses it mainly in the kitchen to watch Korean news and YouTube. She likes that it is nearly "Instant On" with no prolonged start up. It is thin and light and has that Kickstand. My Pro...

Windows XP Does anyone plan on dropping XP?

By the way thanks for the help offer Drew. I have added a Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro to our tech war-chest for the Family, and they compliment our Windows phones. I don't really need all the memory and features of the Surface 2 Pro vs the Surface 2 and at twice the weight, a person should...

Windows XP Does anyone plan on dropping XP?

I left XP 32 bit as soon as Vista 64 came out. I probably do have it on a couple of long retired machines. I did have XP Pro 64 until October this year on one machine. XP 64 was a great OS for me, but lack of support for it, as I upgraded hardware was the death knell. It now has Win 7...

Windows XP Does anyone plan on dropping XP?

I have always been a early adopter of new OS's. I struggled with DOS, I had Windows 1.0 for my Commodore 64 and was unimpressed, but I tried Windows 3.0 later on a work machine and it was barely better than DOS, okay it wasn't better, but I still was struggling with DOS. Then a ray of sunshine...
