All the SATA II HD's I've installed have a jumper on the back of them, the default is with the jumper on for 1.5 speed, remove the jumper for 3.0 speed.

You don't say if you have other OS's on other partitions, do you ? I ran into the same problem with the 200 meg partition, but solved it when I discovered my first partition, which has XP Pro, was leaving the Active status on, even though the partition was hidden. Once I fixed that, I...

For now I'm just using Win7's firewall and running AVG Free, and that works okay with my email program, Eudora In Vista64 I use Comodo Firewall & AVG Free Never bothered with Windows Defender personally, have it turned off in XP Pro, Vista & Win 7 :rolleyes:
