sorry to be a pain but just noticed that local area connection status IPv4 showing Internet IPv6 = No Internet access I'm not too clever at this side of things

Still no joy default gateway .....192.168.0.1 DNS servers ...192.168.0.1 208.67.222.222 every thing else reads the same..........but looking at the network and sharing center there is a internet connection. One hing I did not mention is that all the time ( now and before)...

Hi kingskin done what you said filled in the two boxes with the required numbers but still will not connect

I have downloaded Windows 7 but cannot access the internet. I use a Netgear DG834G v2 wireless router and my ISP is AOL. I have the computer with windows 7 on wired to the router but will not get to the internet. I get a message of "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration...
