To my knowledge, it can't be done. You could just have everything you need within RocketDock or ObjectDock or CircleDock and simply hide your taskbar...each of them has a Start Menu button built-in anyway, and each will show opened links in their own bar, so you don't really need the Windows...

I would cease all activities immediately. ANYTHING that you do with that HDD plugged in is erasing over previous files. This includes any antivirus updates, Windows updates, any downloads at all, saving absolutely anything, and worst of all - defragmenting. You need to get ahold of a WindowsPE...
