Windows 7 inactive network false positive

This is a known problem. At least you are connected. Win7 will patch this soon - hopefully.

Windows 7 Windows 7 network adapter requires disabling and re-enabling

I get a similar problem on just one of my Win7 installs. Almost the same problem - but if I disable the network card, then re-enable it - everything works all day. I don't have an answer. Sorry

Windows 7 Frustrating Dual Monitor Problem

I would turn off the computer before plugging in a DVI connection. On the video board, one of the DVI ports will default to the primary - it may even have a number 1 in the board. Setup the single monitor 1st. Turn off the computer, plug in the second monitor. Restart. All should work.

Windows 7 Does Windows 7 RC in windows site will be build 7100?

I have been using Build 7100 (64 bit Ulimate) on both a Dual Core desktop and a Dual Core laptop (Dell XPS) for 48 hrs. Quite a different feel than build 7000 (just better). In Adobe programs, Photoshop CS4 (64 bit) and Bridge, the performance seems noticeably faster - and more responsive. For...

Windows 7 Got a Dell want to get rid of that preinstalled stuff ?

You still need to format and start fresh. There is no other correct way to fully assure a clean install. Not hard at all, drivers are always online. Any Windows 7 guy should have this skill fully mastered.

Windows 7 And the Winner is ....

Good to hear that, but my experience with XP 64 wasn't very good. Dell Quadcore with 8 GB RAM. Maybe my system was designed for Vista 64, which it runs great. I still think Windows 7 64 bit is the speed champ on my system. By quite a lot too. MS should support XP 64 if everyone has been...

Windows 7 Why Windows 7 Will Flop - It's The Economy

The Original Poster sounds like the Unabomber on too much coffee. Reads like a manifesto. Windows 7 will be an OS upgrade. No one will need to sell their house to improve their computing experience.

    Windows 7 Powerpoint 2007

iroken, thanks for your help: The problem with PowerPoint Slide Transition is solved. Installed the Nvidia Vista 64 bit Driver, now everything functions normally. Apparently, the Win7 beta driver was the issue, at least for my machines.

Windows 7 Windows7 has problems with Office 2007

I guess you are referring to the ribbon! Fluent=ribbon Well, the ribbon (Office 2007) is also in both OS Win XP and Win Vista - but PowerPoint works far differently than in Win7. With only Win7, none of the Slide Transitions in PowerPoint work - and that is Office 2007- and only in Win7...

Windows 7 Windows7 has problems with Office 2007

Using the free AVG, and Slide Transition in PowerPoint 2007 does not work on 6 test machines. Yes it could be lots of different reasons, but on that many diferent machines with mostly different hardware - well? The Nvidia beta driver, loaded for Windows 7, is the only common variable on my...

Windows 7 Windows7 has problems with Office 2007

PowerPoint 2007 is also not working correctly. No slide transitions - mostly a problem for higher end users who use PowerPoint in front of audiences. Still a Windows 7 only problem. I quite honestly am a little dismayed an Office 2007 Apllication doesn't work. Of course, it could be the video...

    Windows 7 Powerpoint 2007

I have found a problem with PowerPoint 2007 too. The slide transitions, like fade smoothly, do not work. In fact, there are no transitions at all. I have tried fast and slow -changed to another like fade through black - and nothing. BTW, I am a professional speaker and have worked with...
