I have no doubt that Windows has been compromised. I have allready noticed that the performance has degraded considerably. However, I just need to keep it up and running long enough for me to buy another hard drive to back up my data. Again, thanks for your help.

Well I think I have managed to solve the problem. Using EasyBCD on my alternate installation I installed the BCD onto my formerly damaged partition. Now instead of booting into startup repair it would return an error saying that system file ""wwfzuyy.sys"" in the System32/Drivers folder...
