Wish i knew this before formatting. When i press f10 its says reinstall system32/hal.dll. Question. 1.Will it(Sony recovery) work through CD/USB drive? 2. Can i install window 7 professional or any other version in this laptop? 3. Is illegal/piracy talk not allowed in here?

Oops sorry wrong thread. (wanted to post on windows 7). I have made a xp bootable USB and trying to install it. Wish me luck.

I downloaded xp from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=25129 But i am not able to make bootable USB from it says this version of rufus only supports bootable ISOs based on Bootmgr/WinPE,isolinux or EFI.. This ISO doesnt seem to use either. ?? I used rufus 1.4 and 1.2...

Thanks will try when i get home. What is DHCP? I have googled it and it says that it reduces the needs of network administrator. Can you explain it in regular english please? And why is there disable switch for DHCP? Is it bad for some reason?
