I too just installed win7 and I have disabled the sleep/hibernate because of this issue. When it goes in sleep I come back and press a button on the keyboard. The fans and HDD start spinning but the keyboard, mouse and monitor remain inactive. Only fix i can find is a hard reboot. I saw some...
