Hey guys, Just thought I'd give you an update. I was able to fix it. I kept running scan after scan for a while and then used Autoruns to clean up my programs at start up. It's quite possible that there are more programs that don't work. Those are just the ones that i'm aware of currently. Yes, I've disabled the items on startup/anti-virus/defender and they were still not allowed through.- SirLurchington

It won't connect from my side. It gives me an error stating "Not ready. Please check your connection," which led me to believe that it was a proxy issue but I've set the computer up for no proxy.- SirLurchington

I'm using AVG free. I've used the remover tool to complete a clean install, disabled my AV, and it still won't connect to the update server. I'm running the scan for corruption now.- SirLurchington

Adwcleaner deleted one folder, one file, and seven keys from the registry. I just installed this copy of Malwarebytes a couple days ago but I can give it another go if you suggest that I should. Thanks; I really appreciate your help!- SirLurchington

I've tried to update and run Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro. Pretty much anything that I try to update won't update. I was figuring that it was an infection too but can't track down the culprit. I'll try Adwcleaner.- SirLurchington
