Windows 7 Is there any way to get Win 7 backup to use multiple backup devices /partitions?

I finally gave up on Backup My PC and went to Win 7 backup, but my external drive does not hold more than 2 backup cycles' worth of data. I'd like to use excess space (in a separate partition) on a 2 TB internal drive to offload some backups, but I can find no way of doing this. Any ideas...

Joe, Although things look OK for now, I'd like to have the slipstream process ready to go. Could you let me know how it is done? Thanks, Steve

Windows 7 how to do repair install after SP1 installed

Thanks, Pat. that little beast moved a lot of files. I knew there had to be something like that, just didn't know its name. I'll consider the incident closed for now. Steve

Windows 7 how to do repair install after SP1 installed

My boot hard drive went bad according to S.M.A.R.T., so I replaced it after doing a full disk copy. The new drive works fine and everything works BUT there was damage to some Windows (Win 7 Pro 64 bit) files over an unknown period of time, so Windows Restore won't help. I have SP1 installed, so...

Windows 7 Can't find the magic button to install fonts

Reply to reghakr Of course a Postscript Type 1 font is not a TrueType font. Windows has supported T1 fonts since about... Windows 95? In Windows XP (just checked in a virtual machine) there is an Add Fonts function in the Fonts Control Panel. If I point that function to a folder of Type 1...

Windows 7 Can't find the magic button to install fonts

Let's make this more precise I have no problem installing fonts whose filenames I recognize, although that seems to be be a bit bit bass-ackwards. If for some unknown reason I want to install Adobe Myriad Tilt, I need to go to WMTIL___.PFM to install it. I would suggest that a proper font...

Windows 7 Help for help (winhlp32.exe)

I solved my problem with a trial download of STUFFIT. It gobbled up the .CAb file and extracted the three files inside. I finally was able to install WINHLP32 in Windows 7! I consider this thread ended. Thanks for all the hints and tips on my behalf. Steve Samson

Windows 7 Help for help (winhlp32.exe)

How do I extract from a .CAB_ file? When I attempt to open a .file with a CAB_ extension, I am led to MSCONFIG. There doesn't seem to be anything relevant on the TOOLS tab. Is there a specific extractor program for this type of file?

Windows 7 Help for help (winhlp32.exe)

RAK, The downloads for both Vista and Server 2008 will not install for me on Win 7. Is there some special procedure to follow?

    Windows 7 Winhlp32

Nope. Just plain US English. I don't recall having seen that folder name before, except possibly on an install disc.

PBCOPTER, Your post looked promising, but I cannot find a windows\en-us folder in my installed Vista partition. Where might that be? Steve

Windows 7 Help for help (winhlp32.exe)

The app is Ventura Publisher 10, an oldie but goody. The help in question is not Windows help but the extensive help files of Ventura. The Microsoft file winhlp32.exe is required in order to use the Ventura help. A downloadable version was made available for Vista, and one is promised for Win 7...

Windows 7 Help for help (winhlp32.exe)

Is there a 64-bit Win 7 version of winhlp32.exe available yet? I really need to get to the help functions of an old app that otherwise works fine in Win 7.

Windows 7 Can't find the magic button to install fonts

Thanks, Dave. You echo some other replies I've seen. Based on those I simply went to my Postscript fonts folder, selected all the .pfm files and right-clicked Install. Done! I still like the idea of picking the fonts, using the proper font names, from the control panel. The PS file names are...

Windows 7 Can't find the magic button to install fonts

The Fonts Control Panel does not seem to offer any way to install new fonts. Am I missing something?
