Yep. I tried to downgrade to 15.11 and it doesn't seem to have worked, I'm still on 16.~ I uninstalled the drivers, then used DDU in safemode, then installed the 15.11 drivers. Got a BSOD earlier, checked my version, and it's still 16.~ Weird. Also, yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you, Sven...
Yep, I'm still getting BSODs. I haven't updated to that newest version, I'll try it out now though. Edit: Updated, option isn't there. :\ http://i.imgur.com/iqlpIeP.png
So.. I'm still getting BSODs. In my DREAMS! Lol almost every night I've had a dream of getting a BSOD. I find it kind of funny, tbh. That said, I haven't gotten a single BSOD since running Clockblocker, and it's been.. 5 days? Fingers crossed, I suppose. So far, I've never had the issue where...
No offense @nmsuk but if you had read our previous posts, you'd know I've already tried disabling hardware acceleration, as well as having extensively tested each web browser (Chrome, Firefox, and Edge). This morning's BSOD was just from loading up a game and alt tabbing so that I could launch...
It must be a very common piece of hardware that's conflicting, if it is a hardware conflict. There are many, many more threads from people with r9 290s that are getting this exact same problem, all over the internet. :( @sven31415 @Circinae Do either of you use more than one monitor? I'm...
I didn't have a BSOD for about 2 days after I tried the Radeonmod registry tweak, however, I've gotten two in the last day. I can confirm it does not fix it. :( I'm probably going to roll back my drivers to 15.11, and just deal with the lower optimization/FPS of certain games. It's not worth an...
I'm still testing out the tweak in RadeonMod, but so far I haven't had any BSODs, and I've been stressing alt-tabbing a lot. That said, it's only been one day. lol
Yes, I have followed the instructions to the letter. I've removed/uninstalled all AMD drivers, ran DDU, restarted my computer, had no applications running, and installed the new drivers. (A total of 3 times now) I have updated to to 16.11.2 this morning, and about 30 minutes later I had a BSOD...
Well, I can safely say that the newest Crimson driver update does not fix the BSODs at all. :P I only had Steam open, alt tabbed to open chrome (habit) and got a BSOD. I'll try that registry hack now.
I'll try that now, although I won't have a lot of time to test it today. I found this thread; r9 290 gigabyte windforce Thread_stuck_in_devic... | Community It seems a lot of people are having the same/similar issues. :(
Hey, sorry for the really late reply. I've been a bit busy with irl stuff, and I probably will be for another week. For about 6-7 days I hadn't gotten a single BSOD, and then all of a sudden I got a couple the other day, one yesterday, and one this morning. I don't remember if I'd already said...
