If you change out components, which i have done many times, the mobo n proc will work, as long as your CPU is the same brand, like changing from intel to AMD and vice-versa won't work. Your safest bet is to use the same socket mobo n proc, even though the mixing sockets and it still working...

If you mean W7 to a WinXP shared folder, its most likely winXP problem, unless you can connect to them with another computer; that being said, make sure you have no firewalls on, and the setting : require password to login.... is disabled in WinXP

did you try the windows 7 beta drivers? i had problems with the vista version of the drivers for my ATi card, the beta driver on the other hand was flawless...

i had real player back in the day when it was good, then it sucked, now its good again, and it works for W7, you can dl youtube videos with it, easy and simple. It has the ability to play many audio formats, as well as movie formats, as long as you have the codecs for .avi, DVDs and .mp4 :D
