that's pretty cool. i kinda have the same problem. when i have VLC player full screen and i go to adjust the volume with my mouse the stupid start menu pops up.

32 bit and 64 bit w7 work fine on my dell inspiron 1501.

I have Windows 7 64-bit build 7068. I tried to install O&O Defrag pro 11. I got a message saying i need windows 2000 or later to install... Is there a way to fix this or is there an older version of this software that works? this software is supposed to work with 64 bit... thanks!

yea i was trying to install it to 32-bit w7 and i got a message before i ran the install saying it isnt compatible with this operating system. does anyone know what the problem is with it? if its only the printing i dont care. i just want to use it to read pdf's...

ESET Smart Security. you can download a free trial on the website. norton and all those others hog ram. (you can use any AV that works with vista)

exactly! my dell inspiron 1501 laptop came with vista. 1.8 ghz amd x2 w/ 2 GB ram. it took about 4-5 mins to idle after booting up. i think part of it was from my firewall. now i use ESET Smart Security and vista/w7 boot up a lot faster since ESET doesnt hog your ram for no reason. I love...

isnt upgrading the worst way to go about it... clean install is much better. i might install 7068 tonight. im using 7057 now. i fixed the desktop.ini bug myself too :)
