Well. I'm just sharing the news. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'm not saying this for sure. So let's not get to exited. But I do have to say that Win7 will be great. It already is. And the devolopment of the OS is by far near the end. It's exiting, thats for sure :)

Yeah. A friend of mine who is working in Microsoft told me that there will be a build with a new core. They are apparantly leaving the Vista core and using a new one. But let's not get to exited. We all know that Microsoft is like the weather. Always changing.

Just installed 7068 x86. It's fast, it's sweet and it works like a charm:) Now I just have to wait for build7.0.7100 The new one with a new core......

Thanks a million for the tip. Might try it tomorrow. I'm waiting for a newer buld since the 7057 build have problems with networking. But I might try it on a test-machine:)

Microsoft is fully aware of that problem and they are working to fix it. I have this from a friend at microsoft.

Well. as i said earlier, i do only have one sata-connector on my motherboard. So I will not be able to change. I'll wait untill the njext build arrives. Most likely in a week or two.

In my case, I just have one (1) sata connector on the motherboard, so I'm not able to move it. God damn this irritates me. My comp is an acer aspire L5100. Wich is a small form factor desktop computer. I bought it to give me a silent livingroom. It only gives me headaches at the moment...

I tried to install 7057 on a different harddisk, but no such luck. Still slow. Beginning to think it's the chipsetdrivers that comes with Windows 7. Will try with the drivers provided from Acer. Hummmm. Made a disk in Vlite integrating the drivers. But no luck. Wish I had the opportunity to...

@jlp09550 The Desktop.ini error is not causing this problem. 100% positive about this. If this were the case, then millions of people would have the same problem. I have googled this problem, but only found two threads in forums about this issue. And both are in this forum. My thread and this...

Maybe if I try to load the SATA-drivers when installing, it might solve it. I do not have a SSD in the machine. Just a regular Sata-drive. I'll give it a try tomorrow to see if it might solve it. Thanks for the tip:)

I'm experiencing the same problem as you buddy666. Have tried almost everything I can come up with, but still no luck. My computer is a Acer Aspire L5100, And I'm pretty sure it is a hardware related problem. But what? Now that I can not tell. If you come up with a solution, feel free to share...
