    Windows 7 IRQL_not_less_or_equal

Oy...well, before that, I want to mention that I've manually installed two RAM sticks from Crucial. You can see them in the CPU-Z tabs. I also moved my original RAM stick to a different slot for a reason I don't remember. Do you think one of them might be slightly loose? Or that maybe the two...

    Windows 7 IRQL_not_less_or_equal

I brought it out of sleep mode and it crashed. Really, that's all that I can say. Hit power button. Saw login screen for just a moment [I think? It's all a blur!], then the bluescreen. I attached all the relevant files listed in that sticky thread, I believe. I've been having issues with my...

    Windows 7 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

My brother's laptop has had some random BSOD's lately, and it usually happens within moments of logging in. He tries to open a program, and the computer just crashes. I've attached the dump files from the Minidump folder. I was able to retrieve them by using an Ubuntu disk, without actually...

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Re: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME Ubuntu told me the disk had "a few bad sectors." I went ahead and replaced the disk at the cost of a birthday present <.< Here's to hoping it works without issue.

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Re: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME It wasn't any different. And I've tried installing Windows XP now from an older disc, I got this BSOD: STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF7dD663C, 0x0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Re: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME I tried that, and this time it did not even get to finish forming the Windows logo before another BSOD showed up. I'll record it this time to see if the BSOD message is any different. If it is I'll report back here soon to say so.

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME I am currently on my Ubuntu OS, since booting into Windows will no longer work. When I try, there is half a second of a BSOD with UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME and I was only able to read that by breaking out the video in my phone and stopping the video at the moment where the...

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Sorry! I wasn't clear there. My hard drive I'm working on is NOT the same hard drive as the "failure imminent" hard drive. That's the one I was using so that I could post on these forums. But here's my latest update: I re-installed Windows...AND Ubuntu again. But this time, I formatted the 100...

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

I had my re-install working as well as I could, until Explorer just froze up and I held down the power button to cut it off. Now whenever I try to boot it, I just get a blank screen after the BIOS. I'm on my old hard drive at the moment, with the ever-present "hard drive failure imminent"...

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

I apologize if I am frustrating, but I solved both problems while waiting...I reset the router to factory settings and that solved the issue with internet (I do not know why). And the Action Center told me to install the driver for the Ricoh Card Reader, and after that was done the base system...

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Now that Windows 7 is installed again, I've got a couple of problems. I can get internet access via my ethernet connection, but my wireless says "No Network Access." This is true for both my Ubuntu and Windows partitions. Also, there is a "Base System Device" which appears to have no driver?

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Okay, sounds good then. And that makes optimized defaults sound like a pretty good idea to me! I'll do that ASAP. And hopefully my post after this one will include a dump file.

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

I honestly just went ahead and wiped the drive...it was about time anyway, and I honestly didn't expect to be told I could do much else. I kind of regret it now! I'll definitely be looking into Knoppix to see what it is, and maybe what with iCare Data Recovery being free until Christmas I can...

    Windows 7 KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Props on the new forum tricks =) (Making sure I knew what forum I was in, the Prefix, "no similar threads found") I like. Anyway, on to business. Last night, my computer was fine. I closed everything out, put it in sleep mode. This morning, I get up, check my e-mail via Thunderbird, try to do...
