I had it working for a second until I rebooted in Build 7232 with the default Windows 7 driver but now it's no loger working. Works fine in Jaunty. UPDATE: Been trying for 3 hours and no luck! I read plugging in ethernet then windows update fixes it; and an update did appear but didn't work...

I agree, Ubuntu has a wonderful layout, although horrid color scheme, but unique! It's still Gnome but Ubuntu's implementation of it which works out nicely. Switching to KDE though is ackward and more Windows like, just like Gnome is more Mac like and "fitting". They could start by one default...

The most likely reason for disabling extensions by default is most likely to avoid confusion in a way, and also in a UI stance, makes a file kinda look "dirty". I wouldn't want all my MP3s or Images w/ thumbnails having the extension afterward. A solution would be for Microsoft to add some...

By light weight, I mean FAST. Does it really matter about disc space now a days? It's all about speed, we have plenty of storage for as "fat" OS as any company can make. Don't forget, programs like Media Center must be pretty big (around the 100MB size).
