Your processor is too old. So windows 10 does not officially.
Don't upgrade to windows 10. For better performance keep it up to windows 8.1 or windows 7 only.
If you upgrade your computer. Then build your pc with atleast intel i5 12th processor based pc
It will work for certain cases. In few cases you cannot recover deleted files from windows.
But whole C partition can be combined into single file namely install.wim file.
Intel i5 5th gen is old processor. Intel designed few processors for laptops only.. It has low processing power.

Windows OS should be installed in SSD.
Recommended latest drivers should be installed..
Only very few softwares...
Buy new disk put in your computer, download and install windows clone software, execute that software, clone windows os to new disk, remove old disk. Use new disk as bootable drive.
After loading windows, you can create recovery environment bootable disk.. using this bootable disk, you repair...
Your system processor is high and is fully compatible with windows 11 64bit, Windows will run depending upon installed softwares and applications.
You will keep what you think.
You keep windows update automatically, but preview updates might will not detect in automatic mode , all other updates are detected, if only windows update services are running background.
Sorry
