    Hi, i got the same error, because i realized too late that my partition was a win 2000 one, not an xp one, created with my Norton partition magic 8 bootable dvd... Now, i restored my primary partition(c:\) of windows XP with acronis true image AND even restored the MBR, everything work fine...
