Many storage drivers do not support correct sector size reporting for Advanced Format disks. Updates to the following drivers are included in this hotfix: IaStorV.sys Amdsata.sys Nvraid.sys Nvsata.sys Hehe.....I was looking at that hotfix and noticed the above....we crossposted...

ps. I have 3 weeks to decide if I'm keeping this or returning for my money back from Tigerdirect. Any ideas on things I should test...utilities and such? I haven't even got around to loading up some games and testing the GPU yet. 8^)

Not yet. So far it has only crashed 2 times after sleeping overnite. Hadn't really tested to see if it was consistent....It did wake successfully on at least 3 occasions though, so it's definitely intermittent. We shall see!

Well I seem to have bumbled thru it. I really need to know more! Before running the update I found the program in the start menu and clicked on it. It said it wouldn't start due to a missing plugin and that it wasn't installed correctly. I'm not sure exactly what it does but how did my PC run...

Cool. Gateway doesn't say who makes this m/b.....speculation is it's foxconn......but I found the driver on Gateway support page. Intel_Matrix_Storage_MGMT-8.9.4.1004.zip. This sound right? It is dated 4/29/10 but I don't trust the dates on Gateway's site. I don't see this driver in the...

Another BSOD upon Waking from Sleep Mode today. SF Diag Tool info attached. It contains both the original dump file and the new one. Ideas?

Thanks for the help folks! Sorry it took so long to get back here. I had a long day. To continue on from last nite: Somehow I had the realtek driver update screwed up. Redid it and now my Driver is dated 7/28/10. Not the 8/3/10 I expected but it's a lot closer<grin>. Deleted Gateway...

Windows didn't detect any new Realtek drivers but I went ahead and grabbed the latest from Realtek's page.....and after installing it seems to be the same driver I had. Same date.

Update. I ggogled UBHelper.sys and after a little reading I found that the Gateway MyBackup program that Gateway provides is actually from NewTech Infosystems. You say I should remove it. I assume it is known to cause problems? I doubt I would ever use it anyway, but googling didn't seem to...

Hi! Following your links. The first one is to the Intel Driver Updater Utility. I ran it and it found an update to the Gigabit Network driver. Installed it even though it notes OEM driver might be better. The 2nd Link I must admit has me puzzled. It links to a site that has a crippleware...
