Thanks Norcross. I use a UTStarcom UM175 to connect to the Alltel network. The dialer software installed fine, but not the drivers. I'd get a message saying "incompatible operating system." Although I didn't follow your instructions precisely, they helped me figure out a solution. Before...
Thanks MaddMaxx. Yes, my printer is listed. It is so much easier to install the printer in Vista and Windows 7 than XP (download a large file, or use a CD). Ubuntu and several other Linux distributions install the same way as Vista and 7 - recognizing it and then downloading drivers.
The Sierra card in my Z60t Thinkpad is built in. I went to a specific driver download page for my laptop and downloaded the drivers. Not sure if they would be right for your system. I just suggested the Lenovo site as a possible place to locate drivers for your aircard.
I have an HP Photosmart 2710 all-in-one wireless machine. Windows 7 found the printer, installed the drivers and asked if I wanted to print a test page. I haven't done that yet, but feel confident it will work.
I got Vista drivers from the Lenovo site for my Thinkpad Z60t and they work. Of course, it doesn't do me any good because I don't have a Verizon account. My Alltel USB card doesn't work with Windows 7 and I don't believe it will anytime soon.
Yippie!!! Thanks Scarabae for the fix. I, too, have the Intel graphics card. My system crashed every time I tried to switch to full screen while watching Hulu videos."Lost in Space" and all the other old TV shows will be much more enjoyable now.
I'm having the same problem with an Alltel UTStarcom UM175. It's a USB wireless card that's supposedly compatible with Vista. When I try to install it, get a message that says the operating system isn't supported.
