The other option could be cooling of either the processor or even the video card. I'd suggest checking your operating temps. I used to get random lockups and freezes and reboots while gaming and by getting some more airflow all the random issues when away....Good luck amigo!

I'm not familiar with that MOBO but I've the P6T and had a very similar issue. I had to remove all the memory sticks except one, do the install, then add them back in one at a time with a reboot between. Since then its been rock solid. Hope that helps.
