    an issue with hot swapping? win7 doesnt support esata hot swapping so you drive has to be on before the computer is turned on. this little ap fixed the problem for me: Link Removed - Invalid URL

    mine is internal too, its no different than an external usb port. just be careful you dont touch anything you shouldn't, dont need a short and to cook your motherboard. becareful with static too, ive seen motherboard go from that as well (static into a usb cord)

    try unplugging it and plugging it back in. i have to do it about once a week. though it was the reader, so i bought a new one, same problem though, every week or so it just craps out and i have to unplug and plug back in while windows 7 is running

    before there was an option to 'restore folders on startup' in windows explorer, but in build 7057 the option is gone, and if you restore the registry key, that doesnt work either (as it is missing in this build). anyone know if the option has just moved somewhere else, or if its premently gone...

    i had the same problem on build 7000, just use the drivers that came with windows 7, the moment you upgrade the realtek dirvers, your realtek device will stop working, or so has been my experience on two realtek devices

    sasha, try running it in windowed mode, right click on the shortcut, and in the target field add -w after the quotes so it looks like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -w works for me.

    i was loosing my desktop every time i exited it, so i just started running it in windows mode, and if i forget to turn on my external sound card, it wont start either (just freezes), but other than those two hickups its fine on my computer. game play is smooth and never crashes.
