Xbox cloud access does not mean Game Pass inclusion
Microsoft’s listing identifies Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium and Ultimate as eligible subscriptions for cloud play. It explicitly requires ownership of the game; the subscription alone does not supply it. That distinction matters for anyone expecting to find the new release ready to play in their subscription library.
The supported-platform section names Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming, not a native Windows PC or Xbox One edition. Windows readers should therefore avoid treating the Xbox release as confirmation of a downloadable PC version.
For UK readers, TheXboxHub reports a launch price of £8.39. That is a regional price, separate from the US listing—not a universal price or a currency-equivalent quotation.
A quieter flight plan
According to the publisher’s Xbox Store description, players guide a small bird through landscapes and collect magical crystals. There are no enemies or dangers, levels can be selected freely, and most are intended to be completed quickly, with room for longer exploration. The scenery is drawn from the wider Aery franchise.
The proposition is deliberately modest: less combat briefing, more taking the scenic route. “Relaxation” describes the developer’s intended experience, however—not an independently established benefit or a verdict on how well the game delivers it.
Familiar scenery warrants measured expectations
There is relevant history behind this sequel. In its May 26, 2026 review, TheXboxHub awarded the earlier Aery – Calm Horizon 2.5/5. Reviewer Dave Ozzy appreciated its low-pressure collecting but criticized familiar environments, dead ends and distracting environmental effects. Those findings concern the predecessor, not Calm Horizon 2.
The sequel’s description confirms another collection of franchise scenery, but does not establish which maps return or whether the earlier game’s problems have been addressed. A launch listing is not a patch report—or a review.
The practical takeaway is straightforward: this is a new Series X|S release with an intentionally undemanding exploration pitch. Its cloud option expands the listed ways to play, but buyers should keep ownership, subscription access and native PC compatibility separate when deciding whether it fits their setup.
