What the QN10 is
Windows Central describes the Ascent QN10 as a compact Windows-on-Arm desktop with an 80 TOPS NPU for local AI workloads. ASUS says it uses a Snapdragon X2 Elite platform with an 18-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU and exceeds Copilot+ PC requirements. The model named in the spec sheet is the X2E-88-100, paired with Adreno X2-90 graphics and a Hexagon NPU.
The size is the main selling point. ASUS says the chassis is under 0.7 liters, which it calls 86% smaller than a conventional 5-liter desktop. The listed dimensions are 130 × 130 × 39.96 mm, and the weight is 0.75 kg. Those are ASUS's own figures and comparison.
Pokde.Net compares it to NVIDIA's DGX Spark as an edge-AI box. That comparison is the outlet's, and the two use very different silicon. Notebookcheck points out that the QN10 has no Nvidia GPU, so it can't run the larger library of models and services built around Nvidia hardware.

Two things to keep in mind:
- TOPS is a rating, not a benchmark. It says little about how fast a given app will run.
- Memory is soldered. ASUS's product page describes it as onboard and not upgradable, with a 32GB maximum. Choose the capacity at purchase.
Windows and security angle
- Windows on Arm. The QN10 runs Windows 11 for Arm. Check that your apps and drivers have native Arm builds or work well under emulation.
- Copilot+ branding. ASUS ships it with Copilot+ PC editions of Windows 11 Home or Pro.
- Security. ASUS lists fTPM 2.0 and the Microsoft Pluton security processor. CNX Software notes the hardware includes a Qualcomm Secure Processing Unit that supports Microsoft Pluton. These are vendor claims. Remote management and recovery features also depend on compatible services and configuration.
Developer and agent claims
ASUS markets it as an AI mini PC for agentic AI workflows. Its materials cite the Qualcomm AI Hub, which ASUS says offers 175+ pre-optimized models plus bring-your-own-model and bring-your-own-data workflows. ASUS also says it supports hybrid workflows that route tasks between cloud LLM APIs and the local NPU. It names OpenClaw and Hermes Agent, with chat access through WhatsApp and LINE.
At Microsoft Build on June 2, ASUS and Qualcomm demonstrated Visual Studio Code with GitHub Copilot and a private LLM app built with LLMWare and AnythingLLM. Those were demos, not performance guarantees. Whether a model fits in 16GB or 32GB of shared memory is a practical limit.
Conflicting ASUS specs
ASUS's own documents disagree on several details:
- Bluetooth. The Build announcement lists Bluetooth 5.4, and the September launch lists Bluetooth 6.0. Windows Central says the shipping unit has Bluetooth 6.0, not the older 5.4.
- DisplayPort. The September announcement lists DisplayPort 2.1 on the USB-C ports. The datasheet lists DP 1.4.
- Storage. The September announcement lists one included SSD. The product page and datasheet describe two Gen 4 M.2 slots.
A Malaysian retail SKU could differ from any of these, so check the final spec sheet before buying.
US pricing, and what it says about Malaysia
CNX Software reports the 16GB/512GB model at $1,349.99 at Best Buy. It reports the 32GB/512GB model at $1,699 from the ASUS eShop, Amazon and other shops. Those are US prices. They don't predict Malaysian pricing, warranty terms or configurations.
Who it suits
Pokde.Net wonders about demand. Here is my read, based on general industry knowledge:
- Likely buyers: Arm developers, edge-AI prototypers and businesses that want a quiet, small Copilot+ desk machine.
- Open questions: app compatibility, real-world local-LLM performance and the Malaysian price. Tom's Guide has suggested it could be a Mac mini M4 alternative for Windows users. Whether that holds depends on those same factors.
Until ASUS Malaysia confirms a date and price, I'd hold off on budgeting for one.
