Xbox Game Pass has an unusually wide mood swing scheduled this week: Battlefield 6 arrives on October 13, 2026, followed by Bluey’s Happy Snaps on October 15. Crucially, “dropping” means joining the service—not being removed. Xbox Wire lists both games as upcoming additions.

From military combat to family photography, that is quite a change of pace. For Windows and Xbox subscribers, however, the useful details are less theatrical: which subscription qualifies, which platforms are listed, and whether either addition is a day-one release.

Microsoft’s October Game Pass announcement gives the following schedule. The platform column describes the title’s service listing, not a promise that every listed subscription provides access through every platform.

GameArrival dateListed platformsListed plans
Battlefield 6October 13, 2026Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PCGame Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass
Bluey’s Happy SnapsOctober 15, 2026Cloud, Console, Handheld, PCGame Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass

Neither entry lists Game Pass Premium or Essential. Xbox also explicitly labels Bluey’s Happy Snaps a day-one addition; Battlefield 6 does not receive that designation. Those distinctions matter when deciding whether your existing subscription covers the game you want.

Bluey gets a useful cross-platform distinction

Xbox Wire’s separate October 9 release roundup identifies Gameloft’s Bluey’s Happy Snaps as supporting Xbox Play Anywhere and Smart Delivery. That is additional platform information beyond its inclusion in the subscription schedule, and gives PC-and-console readers another relevant detail to check when considering access across their devices.

The roundup describes a photography adventure featuring Bluey and Bingo around Brisbane. Players can explore alone or alongside a second player, photograph Australian wildlife, and collect snapshots in a scrapbook. This is a description of the announced experience—not a review or a claim about how well it performs.

There is also a boundary worth preserving: Xbox says its “Handheld” label identifies games optimized for handheld play. It should not be interpreted as blanket compatibility with every portable gaming device.

Additions and departures are separate

The same announcement schedules nine other games to leave on October 15. Neither Battlefield 6 nor Bluey’s Happy Snaps appears in that departure list. Bluey’s arrival simply shares a date with a separate library rotation.

The practical takeaway is straightforward: match the game’s date, platform and eligible plan before planning your download. For these two additions, the announcement supplies calendar dates but does not specify an unlock hour or download size. There is no reason to turn an announced date into a midnight guarantee.

This week’s contrast makes an entertaining headline, but the subscription details do the real work. Battlefield 6 and Bluey’s Happy Snaps are incoming, both have PC listings, and both name Ultimate and PC Game Pass—not every Game Pass tier—as their eligible plans.
