What was announced
IT Home reported on November 6 that ERAZER (异能者) has released the U126 2-in-1. The body is a tablet, a magnetic backlit keyboard comes with it, and it supports Windows 11 and Android 16. Technetbook carried the same launch the same day.
One wording difference matters. Technetbook's summary describes "dual boot capabilities". The IT Home report only says the device supports both operating systems. It doesn't say how the two coexist, so this article does not call the U126 a confirmed dual-boot machine.
Specifications as reported
- Body: All-metal shell, 8.5 mm thick, 760 g.
- Display: 12.6-inch OLED, 2560x1600, 60Hz, 450 nits of brightness.
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 115U, with LPDDR5 memory and solid-state storage.
- Battery: An integrated 40.425Wh battery.
- Audio and camera: Two 1W speakers and a 5MP rear camera.
- Wireless: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.
The 60Hz panel and 450-nit peak brightness are modest by 2026 tablet standards. The OLED panel and the thin metal chassis are the more attractive parts of the package.
Pricing in China
The 8GB + 512GB model costs 5,499 yuan, and the 12GB + 512GB model costs 5,999 yuan. That makes the extra 4GB of RAM a 500-yuan upgrade. Technetbook gives dollar equivalents of $764 and $833. Those are currency conversions, not US prices. I found no confirmation of a US or international release.
The keyboard is bundled, which matters for value. Many Windows tablets sell the keyboard cover separately.
The processor: what Intel says and what it doesn't
The 115U belongs to Intel's Core Ultra Series 1 family, formerly code-named Meteor Lake. Intel's specification page lists the following:
- Eight cores (two performance, four efficient, two low-power efficient) and 10 threads.
- A maximum turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz.
- A 15W base power and 57W maximum turbo power.
- An NPU, Intel AI Boost, rated at 11 TOPS, with 21 peak overall TOPS for the platform.
These are chip-level figures. They don't measure the U126's real performance, and they don't show how long it can sustain turbo power in an 8.5 mm fanless-style chassis. The reports don't describe the tablet's cooling.
Intel's page also lists Thunderbolt 4 support for the processor. That does not mean the U126 has Thunderbolt ports. Neither report lists the tablet's ports at all, so don't assume any USB-C or Thunderbolt connectivity.
Open questions before you'd buy
The reports leave several practical questions unanswered:
- How the two operating systems coexist. It is unclear whether this is dual boot, how users switch, whether a restart is needed, and whether storage is shared.
- Windows edition and Android implementation. Neither is stated, and neither is the update policy for the Android side.
- Ports, charging and battery life. None is given beyond the 40.425Wh capacity.
- Memory details. The reports say only "LPDDR5", with no speed given. Intel's page lists support for LPDDR5/X up to 7467 MT/s, but that is a platform ceiling, not what ships in the U126.
- Keyboard details. Weight, trackpad and charging arrangements are not given.
- Availability outside China. Nothing is confirmed.
Analysis
The pitch is simple. You get a Windows 11 machine for desktop apps and an Android 16 environment for touch-first mobile apps, in one 760 g slab. That is appealing on paper. But dual-OS support does not mean the two run at the same time or share apps and files. It also doesn't guarantee the Android side gets Google services or timely updates. Those details decide whether this is a useful tool or a novelty.
Treat the U126 as a launch to watch, not yet a purchase to plan around. Hands-on reviews and manufacturer documentation should settle the dual-OS behavior, thermals and battery life. I'd wait for those, especially since the reports so far don't indicate any sale outside China.
