The short version
- The game first launched on Switch 2 on February 19. TheXboxHub calls the earlier platform "Nintendo Switch", but Nacon's listing says Switch 2.
- Nacon has confirmed an October 8, 2026 release on PC (Steam and Epic), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Xbox's store listing for the Deluxe Edition shows a release date of 10/5/2026 and advertises 72-hour early access for Deluxe buyers.
- Standard editions are listed for October 8. Steam shows Oct 8, 2026, and Nacon's store lists the PS5, Xbox and PC standard editions as available on 08/10.
- TheXboxHub reports UK prices of £44.99 for Standard and £49.99 for Deluxe. I couldn't verify those independently. The US listings I saw were different: Nacon shows $49.99 for the console standard editions and $39.99 for PC digital, and Xbox shows $49.99+ for the base game and $59.99+ for the Deluxe Edition.
What "now available" actually means
TheXboxHub says the Deluxe Edition is available now and the Standard Edition follows on October 8. That fits the 72-hour early-access model. Deluxe owners on Switch 2 also got a three-day early window, and the Deluxe bundle promises three days of early access on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Store pages present this differently. The Xbox page shows October 5 and labels the Deluxe Edition "Pre-order". Steam says the game is not yet available and plans to unlock in about two days. Treat October 8 as the standard launch date. Don't assume every storefront has the game live today.
Xbox Play Anywhere and the Xbox listing
The Xbox listing tags the game as Xbox Play Anywhere and says it plays on Xbox Series X|S and PC. It also lists these capabilities:
- Optimized for Xbox Series X|S
- 4K Ultra HD and HDR10
- Variable Refresh Rate and 60 fps+
- Xbox local co-op and local multiplayer for two players
- PC Game Pad support
- In-app purchases
Those are store-listed capabilities. They don't guarantee identical performance on every console and PC. The listing says nothing about cross-play or cross-progression. Don't assume either exists because of the Play Anywhere badge.
Game Pass isn't mentioned on the Xbox listing, which matches TheXboxHub's "no Game Pass" remark. That only shows the listing doesn't advertise it. It doesn't rule out a later addition.
PC readers: requirements and the anti-cheat note
Steam's page lists the following requirements. The Nacon page still shows "TBD", so check the live store listing before buying.
| Spec | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 | Windows 11 |
| CPU | Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2500X | Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X |
| RAM | 12 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB, RX 470 4 GB or Arc A380 6 GB | RTX 4070 8 GB or RX 6900 XT 16 GB |
| DirectX | 12 | 12 |
| Storage | 51 GB | 51 GB |
| Target | 1080p at 30 FPS, low settings | 1080p at 60 FPS, high settings |
Steam also carries a disclosure that matters to Windows users:
- The game uses kernel-level anti-cheat, specifically Easy Anti-Cheat.
- Steam says Easy Anti-Cheat requires manual removal after the game is uninstalled.
- The game needs agreement to a third-party EULA.
For a game with local split-screen and a single-player story, some players will be uneasy about kernel-level anti-cheat. If you install it and later uninstall it, remember the manual cleanup step. I'm not inventing a removal procedure here. Steam only says the removal is manual.
Other Steam details:
- It lists Steam Cloud, Achievements, Leaderboards, Remote Play Together and Family Sharing.
- It shows 11 languages for interface and subtitles. The table also ticks the Full Audio column for each language, so check the page before assuming voice-over in your language.
- The PC version reportedly has a graphical edge over the other versions, with physical light behaviour (path tracing). That claim comes from Traxion. I found no first-party confirmation of it.
- Traxion also says exact resolutions and frame rates for the new versions weren't confirmed.
What's in the game
According to Nacon and Xbox's listing:
- Settings: The French Mediterranean coast plus Japan, a first for the series. Story mode has you create and grow a Gear.Club in Japan, with wins and choices shaping your progress.
- Scale: Over 40 cars and 50 tracks across France and Japan.
- Highway mode: A new mode where you race through traffic in both countries, anticipating trajectories and changing lanes. Traxion compares it to the No Hesi mod for Assetto Corsa.
- Customization: Paint, bodywork, rims and mechanical performance.
- Brands: Alfa Romeo, Pagani, BMW, Bugatti and Porsche, alongside Nissan, Subaru, Mazda and Honda.
Deluxe Edition contents
The Xbox listing breaks the Deluxe bundle down as follows:
- The base game and the Gear.Club Signature Pack
- Performance Cars Pack: Nissan GT-R R-35 Nismo, Nissan 370Z Nismo and Bugatti Mistral
- Career Starter Pack: 200,000 GCU3 Dollars, 50 each of Alloy, Electronic Circuit and Component resources, and two Story-mode Engineers
- Customization Pack: Three carbon-fibre bonnets for seven Japanese cars and five themed neon lights for all cars
Should you jump in?
TheXboxHub's own history with the series is cautious. It gave Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Ultimate Edition 2/5 in 2021, and its review of this one is still to come. It also asks whether the game can match Forza Horizon 6, but that is a rhetorical question and not a tested comparison.
Final Weapon scored the Switch 2 version 4/5, but that is a different platform. We have no verified performance data for the Xbox or PC builds yet. The sensible approach is to wait for reviews, check the Steam specs against your rig, and decide whether paying extra for 72-hour early access is worth it when standard launch is a few days away.
Update: Xbox Series X impressions report stable 60 FPS and a path-tracing toggle (October 8, 2026)
Launch-day testing now provides an initial performance assessment: according to PlayDayOne’s October 8 impressions, Gear.Club Unlimited 3 ran at a stable 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X tested, with path tracing both enabled and disabled. This is one outlet’s assessment, not independent benchmarking, and does not establish performance on Xbox Series S or Windows PCs.
The earlier article described path tracing only as an unconfirmed PC feature. PlayDayOne now reports an apparent console path-tracing option, although its reviewer noticed little visual difference and suggested the effect was largely confined to car reflections. According to the outlet, the toggle is effectively the only graphics setting available in the tested Xbox version. Its reviewer found image quality sharper than on Switch 2, but remained critical of track assets, lighting and shadows.
PlayDayOne also reports that online multiplayer remains absent at launch, with two-player local play still the multiplayer option. The outlet describes improvements to graphics and AI since the Switch 2 release, but no substantial new features. For Windows buyers, these impressions offer an early assessment of the expanded release—not confirmation of PC frame rates, graphics options or path-tracing performance.
