What launched, and where
According to Notebookcheck's October 8 report, Lenovo has started selling the IdeaPad Slim 3x 15 with a Snapdragon C series processor. The 14-inch sibling went on sale first. The 15-inch model has now joined it in the same markets.
Notebookcheck said it could find active product pages only in Hong Kong and Singapore. Lenovo lists the laptop as "coming soon" in Europe. Lenovo's PSREF spec database lists it as IdeaPad Slim 3 15Q7X11, with the marketing name IdeaPad Slim 3x (15", 11).
The price needs care. Technetbook describes it as a China price of $897. The more detailed reporting says something different. It starts at HKD 6,879 in Hong Kong and SGD 1,150 (~$897) in Singapore. So $897 is a currency conversion of the Singapore price. It is not a confirmed US price or a China launch price. Lenovo's Hong Kong store page also shows a listed price of 6,879 and an in-stock status.
Earlier, European retailers posted early listings ranging from €400 to €569. Those were retailer listings, not official Lenovo pricing. Lenovo had not confirmed official pricing or availability at that point.
The hardware
- Processor: Snapdragon C C11-0100, eight cores, with maximum turbo up to 3.0 GHz single-core and 2.0 GHz multi-core. The PSREF footnote breaks this down as one core at 3 GHz, three at 2.6 GHz and four at 2 GHz. Graphics are the integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU.
- Memory: 8 GB of soldered LPDDR5X-6393 RAM in the models Notebookcheck described. PSREF says the memory is soldered to the system board, with no slots and no upgrade path.
- Storage: Notebookcheck says 512 GB of M.2 2242 storage is found across all variants sold in the Asian markets. PSREF's headline lists "up to 512GB M.2 2242 SSD", and the French-market model it shows carries 256 GB. Configurations clearly vary by region, so don't assume 512 GB everywhere.
- Operating system: Windows 11 Pro, Home and Home Single Language, all "on ARM".
- Ports: Technetbook lists one HDMI port, two USB-C, two USB-A, a headphone jack and a microSD reader. Lenovo's reference data adds that the USB ports are rated at 5 Gbps and that HDMI is version 1.4. It also lists Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0.
Two screens, three differences
Both options are 15.3-inch IPS panels. Both are 1920×1200 and 400 nits. The difference is in the upgrade. The entry panel runs at 60 Hz with 45% NTSC colour coverage. The higher tier runs at 120 Hz with 100% sRGB coverage. Notebookcheck's earlier report adds that the 120 Hz option is a touchscreen, which the 14-inch model lacks.
The 15-inch model also has a number pad. That pushes its keyboard and trackpad leftward.
For most buyers, the upgraded screen is the one to pick. A 45% NTSC panel is a dim and washed-out choice for photo work or colour-sensitive tasks. This is my reading, not a tested result.
The 33-hour claim
Lenovo claims up to 13.5 hours of web browsing and up to 33 hours of local 1080p video playback at 150 nits. Lenovo also compares the new model against two older machines:
- It claims a 78% longer runtime than the 15Q8X10 with a 50 Wh battery.
- It claims 46% longer than the IdeaPad Slim 3 15Q8X10, even though that model has a 20% larger battery.
These are manufacturer figures, and no independent testing has been reported. The 33-hour number comes from looping local video at a dim 150 nits. That is the best case for any laptop, and the browsing figure of 13.5 hours is the more realistic guide. Lenovo's own footnote warns that real runtime varies with configuration, software, wireless use, power settings and brightness. The 120 Hz panel may also draw more power, but the sources don't say by how much.
Notebookcheck also notes it is unclear how the Snapdragon C C11-0100 compares with the Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) in the earlier IdeaPad Slim 3x 15Q8X10. Elsewhere it expects the new chip to trail the older one. No benchmarks exist yet. Efficiency gains from a lower-power chip normally come with a performance cost.
Caveats before buying
- It's an Arm PC. Windows 11 on Arm runs many x86 apps through emulation. The sources contain no compatibility testing, so check any niche software, drivers or peripherals (VPN clients, printer utilities, legacy business apps) before you commit.
- 8 GB of fixed RAM. There is no upgrade path, so you have to live with the amount you buy. Reports on the 14-inch sibling say PSREF suggests the line will eventually include 4 GB configurations.
- Regional differences. Specifications, adapters and storage vary by market, and Lenovo has not given a global rollout schedule.
- Entry-level display. The 60 Hz panel is the cheaper, lower-spec option.
Bottom line
The IdeaPad Slim 3x 15Q7X11 pairs a low-power Snapdragon C chip with a modest 50 Wh battery, a large screen and a full set of ports. It is available now in at least Hong Kong and Singapore, and "coming soon" in Europe. The 33-hour figure is a best-case lab claim, so treat the 13.5-hour browsing number as the more useful guide. Wait for independent reviews on performance, app compatibility and real-world battery life, especially for the 120 Hz panel, before buying.
