Colleagues in a modern conference room join a video call on a large display.
Logitech has launched what it calls the largest enterprise product launch in its history. The lineup is built around the Rally Bar 2 video bar, the Rally System 2 Pro room system and Sound Shape audio technology. Henry Levak, general manager of Team Workspace Solutions at Logitech, told TechRadar about the thinking behind it. For IT teams that run Microsoft Teams Rooms, the useful questions are what ships now, what ships later, and what the sensors mean for privacy. This piece covers those, and treats vendor claims as vendor claims.

Colleagues in a modern conference room join a video call on a large display. What Logitech announced

Logitech's new lineup includes the Rally Bar 2, Rally System 2 Pro and Sound Shape, bringing enhanced video processing, intelligent camera capabilities and improved audio to meeting spaces of all sizes. Rally Bar 2, Tap IP 2 and Tap Scheduler 2 are available now. Rally System 2 Pro and the Rally Speaker 2 lineup are due in summer 2027.

That timing matters. Much of the "biggest overhaul in years" is a roadmap item, not something you can order today.

The Microsoft angle

Rally Bar 2 is certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet. It runs on Microsoft's Device Ecosystem Platform, which brings Microsoft's security framework to the device. Logitech's own Rally System 2 Pro page says the system is built to run Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, and can be deployed in Android, PC or BYOD mode. That page also notes that a PC is not included.

For admins, the practical point is that Logitech is positioning these devices as multi-platform. The "proprietary" lock-in Levak says Logitech wants to move away from is, in his words, "luckily something we're moving away from". He didn't spell out how that works. Check which deployment mode and which platform certification applies to your tenant before you buy.

Rally Bar 2 specifications

Logitech's product page lists these specs:

  • A 1-inch imaging sensor, with a 115° diagonal field of view and 4X HD digital zoom.
  • A six-microphone array, two full-range speakers and two tweeters, plus an integrated motorized privacy shutter.
  • The Logitech CollabOS platform, with management through Logitech Sync.
  • Security features including AES-256 file-based encryption, device identity protected by attestation, and Arm TrustZone key protection.
  • Sensors for temperature, humidity, tVOC, carbon dioxide, PM2.5, PM10, radar and ambient light.
  • A 2-year limited hardware warranty.

The product page also says Rally Bar 2 is a one-person install and can be extended with extra mic pods and cameras over category cabling using Logitech Link.

U.S. pricing is $4,299 for Rally Bar 2 and $1,299 each for Tap IP 2 and Tap Scheduler 2, according to Logitech's announcement. Regional pricing may differ.

Logitech claims four times the edge-AI processing of "various other video bars". It doesn't name the comparison products, so treat that as marketing until independent testing appears. TechRadar's interview says the bar uses a Qualcomm Dragonwing chip.

Rally System 2 Pro and Sound Shape

Rally System 2 Pro is a modular room system aimed at demanding environments. It includes Rally AI Camera Pro, Rally Speaker 2 and dual Rally Mic Pod 2 units, driven by the Logitech RoomMate 2 Pro appliance. For divisible rooms, admins can build room scenes in Sync and switch between them using Logitech Tap, API integration, or the Sync dashboard.

Sound Shape is the audio piece. Logitech's page says:

  • Rally Speaker 2 uses a seven-driver array rated for up to 8 m (26 ft).
  • Rally Speaker 2 Pro uses a 32-driver matrix rated for up to 14 m (46 ft).
  • Rally Speaker 2 Max uses a 64-driver matrix rated for up to 20 m (65 ft).

Digital Reviews Network reports that Sound Shape uses beam steering and wave control to concentrate audio into specific listening areas. Logitech's pitch is that this replaces costly ceiling-speaker arrays. That is plausible in principle, but no independent measurements were available at the time of writing.

The interview: simplification and AI context

Levak's main argument is consistency. Users shouldn't find AI features in a small room and then lose them in a large one. He says the way to simplify is to "dramatically reduce the number of components", and that large rooms should need only a simple device such as a video bar.

His second theme is AI agents. He says room sensors, microphones and cameras could supply the context those agents need, making Logitech hardware the physical layer of a company's AI ecosystem. TechRadar notes this depends on effective privacy controls.

What IT admins should weigh

  • Sensor data. Rally Bar 2 can detect occupancy and environmental conditions, book a room automatically when people walk in, and send usage data back to facilities teams. Logitech's page says the environmental and occupancy insights in Sync need additional services. The material reviewed doesn't establish retention or access policies, so ask Logitech and your privacy team before deployment.
  • Roadmap versus reality. Don't plan large-room designs around 2027 hardware or the Right Sight 3 camera switching as if they ship today.
  • Claims versus testing. The 4x processing claim, the AI audio claims and the "simpler" installation claims are all vendor statements. Pilot the hardware in a real room.
  • Platform fit. Confirm the certification for your platform and the right deployment mode (Android, PC or BYOD).

Levak's view that the technology should "disappear" into the background is a reasonable goal, but it is Logitech's own account. The first independent reviews and deployment reports of Rally Bar 2 will show whether it holds up. Until then, the Rally Bar 2 and the two Tap devices are the only parts of this launch you can evaluate today.
