The three headlines in this story describe a single listing. Notebookcheck's two headline variants point to the same report, and Mezha's write-up credits Notebookcheck as its source. Notebookcheck in turn cites IT Home. Treat the repeats as one report relayed several times, not as independent confirmation. Notebookcheck's subheading also calls the machine the "Boundless 15X". That appears to be the same model under a different English rendering, and this article uses "Unbounded 15X" throughout.
What Mechrevo listed
Mechrevo (known in China as Mechrevo Wujie) has listed the laptop in China with the following specifications, as reported by Notebookcheck and Mezha:
- Display: 15.3-inch IPS panel, 2,560 × 1,600 pixels, 240Hz refresh rate. Reported extras are 100% sRGB coverage, 500 nits rated brightness, DC dimming and a matte anti-glare finish. The hinge opens to 180 degrees.
- Processor: AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 with 10 cores and 20 threads, boosting to 5GHz, with integrated Radeon 880M graphics. One Notebookcheck passage writes the name as "Ryzen AI 9 H 365". A CPU database, CpuTronic, describes that as the Ryzen AI 9 365 under Chinese OEM naming.
- Memory and storage: 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. The reports say there are expansion slots for both. They do not give slot types, maximum capacities or how many drives fit.
- Battery and charging: 80Wh battery and a 100W GaN adapter that supports Mechrevo's own fast-charging technology.
- Build: about 1.68kg (3.70lb) and a full-metal body.
- Input and extras: a keyboard with a numeric keypad, full-height arrow keys, single-zone RGB lighting and 1.4mm key travel. It also has an IR webcam with a physical privacy feature and Nahimic-certified audio.
- Ports: USB4, a USB Type-C port with 100W PD 3.0 support, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, a 3.5mm combo audio jack and a security-lock slot.
All of this is manufacturer-listed data relayed by the press. None of it comes from independent testing.
Price and availability
In China the laptop is listed at 6,999 yuan, roughly US$1,048 in Notebookcheck's conversion. A 500-yuan coupon lowers the promotional price to 6,499 yuan, or about US$973. Mechrevo has not announced international pricing or availability. Readers outside China should treat the dollar figures as rough conversions, not a purchasable offer.
Checking the processor against AMD's figures
AMD's own page for the chip lists a 10-core, 20-thread design with four Zen 5 and six Zen 5c cores. The same page gives a boost clock of up to 5GHz, a 28W default TDP and a configurable TDP of 15-54W. For graphics, AMD lists Radeon 880M with 12 graphics cores at 2900MHz. Those figures match what Mechrevo's listing implies.
The 65W question
Notebookcheck says the laptop offers 25W, 45W and 65W performance modes. AMD's configurable range for this chip tops out at 54W. That doesn't prove an error. The 65W figure may be a whole-system or sustained-power setting, and the reports don't explain what the number measures. Until Mechrevo documents it, avoid reading 65W as the CPU's rated power. Phoronix notes that laptop vendors can customize the TDP in the range of 15 to 54 Watts.
How "gaming" should be read
No discrete GPU is named in the reports. The graphics are integrated Radeon 880M. Notebookcheck's own chip profile describes it as the direct successor to the 780M, so it is a capable integrated GPU. Even so, a 240Hz panel only says the screen can refresh that fast. It says nothing about frame rates.
- Esports and older titles at lower settings may get closer to high refresh rates.
- Demanding modern games at the panel's native 2,560 × 1,600 will need reduced settings or upscaling.
- This is a limit implied by the disclosed specs. No benchmarks exist yet for this machine.
The high-refresh screen and the cooling design, which gives the "Blizzard" name, point to a thin performance laptop more than a traditional gaming rig. That is my reading of the specifications, not a claim from the reports.
How it compares
Notebookcheck points to two other laptops with the same chip and graphics:
| Model | Memory | Display |
|---|---|---|
| Mechrevo Unbounded 15X | 16GB, expandable | 15.3-inch IPS, 240Hz |
| Asus Zenbook S 16 OLED | 24GB | 120Hz OLED |
| MSI Prestige A16 AI+ | 32GB | Not specified in the report |
The Mechrevo trades OLED for a faster IPS panel and offers expandable memory. Whether that is the better deal depends on what you value. These are specification comparisons only, not performance or value verdicts.
What to watch
- Whether Mechrevo explains what the 25W, 45W and 65W modes control.
- Independent reviews covering thermals, fan noise, battery life and real game frame rates.
- Any announcement of international pricing or availability. Without one, this stays a China-market product for most readers.
