Perfect Dark Joins Game Pass Essential as GoldenEye 007 Leaves on November 15

Eight games join Essential

The November 15 batch contains:

• Banjo Kazooie
• Banjo Tooie
• Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
• Gears of War: Judgement
• Halo: Spartan Assault
• Perfect Dark
• Viva Piñata
• Viva Piñata: TIP

All eight carry Cloud and Console labels. Halo: Spartan Assault is the only title in this group explicitly listed for PC—the important distinction for Windows players expecting a downloadable PC addition.

A familiar pairing, not a confirmed replacement

There is historical symmetry here. In its November 24, 2015 backward-compatibility coverage, Xbox Wire described Perfect Dark as GoldenEye 007’s spiritual successor, discussing the remastered Xbox Live Arcade game and its online multiplayer. That establishes the connection between the classics, not the identity of this incoming listing.

The November announcement does not identify Perfect Dark’s edition or say its arrival causes GoldenEye’s departure. This is a catalog change, not confirmation of a new release.

What subscribers should prioritize

GoldenEye is among 13 departures on November 15. Microsoft advertises savings on departing games but supplies no discount percentage. If GoldenEye is on your unfinished list, prioritize it before that date; Perfect Dark’s incoming listing does not extend GoldenEye’s availability.
