A green-lit Xbox gaming setup features a translucent mouse, mechanical keyboard, and wireless earbuds.
Despite the headline "New Xbox Hardware Officially Revealed," nothing new was revealed this week, and it isn't a console. On October 20, 2026, Razer's Xbox 25th Anniversary peripherals moved from preorder to sale. They are three limited-edition, translucent-green versions of existing Razer products. Microsoft's own anniversary console and controller were announced back in June.

A green-lit Xbox gaming setup features a translucent mouse, mechanical keyboard, and wireless earbuds. What actually happened

Razer's announcement set the schedule. Preorders began on August 25, 2026, with a launch date of October 20, 2026, through Razer.com and select U.S. retailers. Digital Citizen's launch-day report says the accessories became available on October 20, 2026, exclusively through Razer's online store.

Razer says the line was developed in collaboration with Xbox and calls it limited edition. The three pieces are:

  • Basilisk V3 Pro 35K mouse
  • BlackWidow V4 75% keyboard
  • Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed earbuds

Digital Citizen notes that all three are based on existing products, and the anniversary editions add unique styling rather than new hardware platforms. Treat these as a cosmetic refresh, not a generational leap.

The three products

ProductVerified highlights
BlackWidow V4 75%Compact, hot-swappable board with Razer Orange Tactile Switches Gen-3, a dedicated Xbox key, per-key Chroma RGB, two-sided underglow and a magnetic plush leatherette wrist rest
Basilisk V3 Pro 35KFocus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2, configurable HyperScroll Tilt Wheel, 13 customizable controls, HyperSpeed Wireless and Chroma RGB
Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed2.4 GHz HyperSpeed, Bluetooth 5.3, SmartSwitch, up to 35 hours of battery life, IPX4 water resistance, surround sound on Xbox and PC

Razer's materials say the keyboard's Xbox key "instantly opens" Xbox Game Bar. That is the one feature here with a direct Windows tie, and it makes the key more than decoration. Razer doesn't say whether the key can be remapped or what Windows build it needs, so I won't guess.

The "up to 35 hours" earbud figure is a manufacturer maximum. ThinkComputers reports it is up to 35 hours total, including up to 10 hours from the buds and additional capacity from the charging case. Expect less than that in daily use, as with any earbuds.

GameRant also says the mouse offers up to 140 hours of wireless use. Neowin's coverage of the announcement gives the same 140-hour figure.

Pricing: early reports disagree

Early coverage conflicted. Neowin and ThinkComputers cited $169.99 for the mouse and $199.99 for the keyboard at announcement. Tom's Hardware, Digital Citizen and a Windows Central-based review put the launch prices at:

  • Keyboard: $209.99
  • Mouse: $179.99
  • Earbuds: $119.99

Tom's Hardware says each carries a $20 premium over the standard model. Digital Citizen puts the premium at roughly $10 to $20. The three together come to $509.97 before tax and shipping. Some early outlets listed the earbuds at $99.99, so check Razer's checkout before buying.

Availability caveats

  • Worldwide availability is unconfirmed. GameRant says the products are available worldwide with varying inventory. Razer's own announcement names only Razer.com and select U.S. stores, so treat anything beyond the U.S. as unverified.
  • Shipping is a U.S. threshold. Razer's U.S. page offers free standard shipping on orders over US$99 to the United States. Taxes, fees and delivery times vary by address.
  • Stock and order status may differ by item. When Razer's collection page was captured, the keyboard and mouse said "Buy Now" while the earbuds said "Pre-order Now." Check each product page for live status.
  • The Game Pass offer has conditions. The page advertises one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. It must be claimed within 30 days of device activation, is limited to new and eligible returning members, needs a valid payment method, and renews automatically at the regular monthly price unless canceled.

How this differs from the Xbox hardware

Microsoft announced its own anniversary hardware on June 7, 2026. Xbox Wire said the Series X25 Limited Edition and Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition would arrive in select markets in November. It also said pricing and preorder details would follow.

Xbox's product page lists the X25 controller as compatible with Xbox consoles, Windows 10/11, Android and iOS. It connects to consoles via Xbox Wireless and to PCs via Bluetooth. Microsoft rates it at up to 40 hours on AA batteries, with the caveat that life varies with accessories and usage. Microsoft says its testing used preproduction units. The page also says the console includes 1 TB of SSD storage and Halo: Campaign Evolved, in select markets.

GameRant cites $79.99 for the controller and a preorder price of $899.99 for the console. I couldn't confirm either on Xbox's own pages. An earlier Tom's Hardware report said Microsoft hadn't yet confirmed a console price. Verify both with a retailer.

Who should care

For Windows gamers, this is mostly a style purchase. The performance specs belong to standard Razer products that already exist. If you want the green aesthetic, the Xbox key is a small convenience for opening Game Bar. If you don't care about the look, the standard models appear to carry the same core hardware for less.

Collectors should watch stock, since Razer calls the line limited edition. Everyone else should treat the "worldwide" claim and any non-Razer retail pricing with caution until confirmed.
