Stormind Games is bringing the first two Remothered games back in remastered form, with Tormented Fathers Remastered and Broken Porcelain Remastered planned for the first quarter of 2027. VGChartz reports that both are headed to PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Steam listings name the same release quarter but give no exact launch day.

For Windows and Xbox players, this is more than a fresh coat of paint on two old store pages. Stormind says both games have moved from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5, with revised lighting, environmental assets, character models, cinematics, and menus. It also says it has addressed bugs from the original releases while preserving their core gameplay and balance. Those are the developer’s plans, not yet evidence of how smoothly either remaster will run.

Two games, two different haunted houses

Tormented Fathers follows Rosemary Reed into Richard Felton’s home as she investigates a missing girl. Its survival-horror approach asks players to watch their pursuers, hide, and use the environment rather than rely on a conventional health-bar-and-firepower routine. Broken Porcelain moves the danger to the Ashmann Inn, where scavenging, puzzles, stealth, and decisions about when to confront a threat shape the experience. Stormind describes both remasters as presentation and stability upgrades, not gameplay redesigns.

What PC and Xbox owners should check

The Steam listings for both remasters specify Windows 11 x64 as the minimum operating system. Their captured requirements do not yet identify a CPU model, GPU, memory amount, or storage requirement. PC players should therefore avoid treating the Unreal Engine 5 upgrade as either a performance guarantee or proof that a particular graphics card will be necessary. Windows 10 support is not established by those Steam listings.

Microsoft’s Xbox Store marks both remasters as Xbox Play Anywhere titles optimized for Series X|S. The Broken Porcelain listing also names PC and Xbox One under “Play with.” Xbox explains that Play Anywhere applies to qualifying digital ownership through its store ecosystem, allowing play across supported Xbox consoles and Windows PCs without a second purchase; it does not mean that a Steam purchase automatically grants an Xbox copy.

VGChartz also reports Stormind’s promise of a free upgrade for existing owners of the corresponding original game during the first seven days after release. That is a separate offer from Xbox Play Anywhere. The inspected store listings do not spell out its eligibility rules or redemption process, so owners should wait for storefront-specific instructions before assuming how an older purchase will be recognized. With no exact release date yet, the seven-day clock has not been pinned to a calendar.
