A glowing gaming calendar links diverse worlds, from sports and fantasy adventures to medieval battles and sci-fi exploration.
Xbox's 25th anniversary week comes with a Game Pass schedule, and the headline figure of "10+ titles" hides some fine print. Xbox Wire's November 3 roundup, written by Game Pass community lead Megan Spurr, confirms the dates. It also shows that the games don't all land on the same platforms or subscription tiers. Whether you can play a given game depends on what you pay for and what you play on.

A glowing gaming calendar links diverse worlds, from sports and fantasy adventures to medieval battles and sci-fi exploration. The short version

Microsoft published its first-half-of-November Game Pass lineup on Xbox Wire on November 3, 2026. The schedule runs from November 3 through November 17. Within the anniversary window, the announcement names 14 additions:

  • Six games arrive on November 10, 11 and 12.
  • Eight classic games join the Game Pass Essential library on November 15.

Pure Xbox says the anniversary celebration itself is on Sunday, November 15. The Xbox Wire post confirms the dates and games but doesn't mention the anniversary. The "anniversary week" framing comes from the Pure Xbox report.

November 10–12: the new arrivals

DateGamePlatformsTiers

Nov 10Warhammer SurvivorsCloud, Series X|S, Handheld, PCUltimate, PC Game Pass
Nov 10Tanuki: Pon's SummerCloud, Console, PCUltimate, PC Game Pass
Nov 11Hope in the CityCloud, Series X|S, PCUltimate, PC Game Pass
Nov 11ThronefallCloud, Series X|S, Handheld, PCUltimate, Premium, PC Game Pass
Nov 12John Carpenter's Toxic CommandoCloud, Series X|S, PCUltimate, Premium, PC Game Pass

Here is what Xbox says about each one:

  • Football Manager 2027 Console is labeled a day-one addition. It is a different entry from Football Manager 27 on PC, which Xbox lists as already available on November 3 for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Don't count them as one game.
  • Warhammer Survivors is described as an officially licensed bullet-heaven game. It comes from Auroch Digital in partnership with poncle, the Vampire Survivors developers. It is a day-one launch. The "Handheld" tag means the game is optimized for handheld play.
  • Tanuki: Pon's Summer is a day-one game. You play Pon, who delivers packages and helps townsfolk by BMX. Pon is also trying to repair a shrine before a festival.
  • Hope in the City is a day-one mystery adventure. Teenager Hope Song comes home to a ransacked apartment and missing parents. She investigates by turning sketches into evidence.
  • Thronefall is a minimalist strategy game. You build a kingdom by day and defend it by night.
  • John Carpenter's Toxic Commando is a co-op action-survival game for up to four players. It features missions in semi-open environments and large zombie swarms.

Tier fine print

Pure Xbox's summary shows Thronefall as Ultimate and PC only. Xbox Wire also lists Game Pass Premium for Thronefall. Toxic Commando's listing shows Premium too, so I'm treating Xbox Wire as the authoritative source on tiers.

  • Premium covers only Thronefall and Toxic Commando in this group.
  • Day-one status is not universal. Xbox Wire doesn't give Thronefall or Toxic Commando the day-one label. Pure Xbox calls Toxic Commando the exception but describes everything else as a day-one launch. Thronefall appears to be another game without the label.
  • Ultimate and PC Game Pass cover all six.

One analyst, Martin Cid, has pointed out that Xbox Wire's day-one labeled entries all sit above Premium. This is a useful reminder that tier labels matter as much as dates.

November 15: Game Pass Essential

Xbox Wire lists eight games joining the Essential library on November 15:

  1. Banjo-Kazooie (Cloud and Console)
  2. Banjo-Tooie (Cloud and Console)
  3. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (Cloud and Console)
  4. Gears of War: Judgment (Cloud and Console)
  5. Halo: Spartan Assault (Cloud, Console and PC)
  6. Perfect Dark (Cloud and Console)
  7. Viva Piñata (Cloud and Console)
  8. Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise (Cloud and Console)

Only Halo: Spartan Assault is listed for PC. The rest are Cloud and Console only. Coverage describes these as classic first-party games joining the cheaper Essential tier. These are catalog additions, not new releases.

What's leaving

The same Xbox Wire post also lists departures. Xbox Wire lists thirteen titles leaving on November 15, including Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Wreckfest, 1000xResist, Moonlighter and GoldenEye 007. If you want to finish any of these, you have until the 15th. Xbox suggests buying a game now if you want to keep it.

Practical takeaways

  • Check your tier before the date. Premium subscribers get fewer of the November 10–12 additions than Ultimate subscribers.
  • Check your platform. Several Essential titles are console and cloud only.
  • Treat the list as a snapshot. Wave 1 is the first announcement, not the complete month's confirmed schedule. Pure Xbox expects Microsoft to add more during the week. A second wave may follow.
  • Don't take "10+ new additions" literally. The 14-title count mixes new launches, console ports and decades-old catalog games.

Overall, it is a busy stretch of Game Pass additions, with a lot of variety. The tiers and platforms matter, though, so check each title before you plan around it.
