Xbox Game Pass is joining a U.S. wireless plan for the first time. T-Mobile's new T-Mix "Picks" menu includes Apple TV, DashPass, Hulu, Netflix, Pandora and SiriusXM, plus new partners such as Apple Music, ESPN Unlimited, Delta SkyMiles, Google Gemini, Paramount+, Xbox Game Pass and YouTube Premium. Game Pass won't be handed to every T-Mobile customer. It's one item on a menu, and you pay for it in Picks.

Xbox's announcement came on October 26, 2026. It says that starting in November, eligible T-Mix customers can choose Game Pass Ultimate or Premium. Xbox says this gives them a library of games playable on devices they already own, including Xbox consoles, smart TVs and PCs. Xbox calls it the first time Game Pass has been offered through a wireless plan in the U.S.

Neither company has given an exact November date for the Game Pass option. The Xbox post defers eligibility and selection details to T-Mobile's announcement. It says nothing about activation steps or cloud-gaming specifics for this offer.

How T-Mix works

T-Mobile describes T-Mix as three plans with a set number of Picks each.

  • T-Mix Standard starts at $55/month for one line and includes 1 Pick. More starts at $75 with 2 Picks. Loaded starts at $95 with 3 Picks.
  • Customers can change their partner Picks four times a year: three change windows plus an Annual Remix window. The monthly plan price stays the same.
  • Customers get more Picks when they move to a higher tier or add lines.
  • Picks have no cash value and can't be traded, gifted or redeemed for cash. Unapplied Picks don't carry over to the next quarter.
  • How often you can remix depends on the benefit. Some can be switched at any time, while others hold your Picks for a quarter or longer.

What Game Pass costs in Picks

Coverage of the official launch reports that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs three Picks, the same as Netflix Standard. That matches pre-launch leaks. Those leaks put Game Pass Premium at two Picks. Treat the Premium figure with some caution, because it comes from a leak and not from an announcement I could confirm.

This matters because Picks are scarce. Per the leaks, Standard gives one Pick per line, capped at four. More gives two per line for the first three lines, then one, capped at 12. Loaded gives three per line, capped at 20. The launch coverage gives one example: a one-line Standard account gets one Pick, while a four-line Loaded account gets 11.

A single-line Standard customer, with one Pick, couldn't afford either Game Pass tier on the reported costs. On the reported costs, a single-line More customer could afford Premium but not Ultimate. A single-line Loaded customer could pick Ultimate and use all three Picks on it. Picks can be pooled across an account. That arithmetic is mine, built on reported costs that T-Mobile may change.

Picks also compete with other uses. Picks can be locked in for device promotions. Device promos need one to three Picks per line. A household that puts Picks toward a phone has fewer left for Game Pass.

What each Game Pass tier includes

Microsoft's Game Pass page describes the two tiers in general terms. These are not the terms of the T-Mobile offer.

PremiumUltimate
Library200+ games on console, PC and more devices500+ games on console, PC and more devices
New releasesNew Xbox-published games within one year of launchNew games on day one (select games; Call of Duty titles excluded)
Cloud playtime10 hours/month15 hours/month
ExtrasOnline console multiplayer, 2x Rewards pointsEA Play, Fortnite Crew, Ubisoft+ Classics, 4x Rewards points

Microsoft also says library access lasts only while the subscription is active and the game remains in the library. Titles and features vary by region, plan and platform. Cloud gaming needs a supported device, and monthly limits vary by plan. A smart TV or phone on the "devices you own" list doesn't mean every game will run there.

What isn't answered yet

  • Eligibility. Xbox says "eligible" customers but doesn't define it. T-Mobile's materials are the place to check.
  • Existing subscribers. Customers already paying Microsoft for Game Pass should check how duplicate billing is handled. T-Mobile's release says benefits carry their own terms, and customers may need to manage existing third-party subscriptions to avoid duplicate charges.
  • Whether it saves money. Neither company has compared the value of a Pick with a standalone Game Pass subscription. The savings depend on which plan tier you're on and what else you'd spend Picks on.
  • Terms can change. T-Mobile says Pick allotments are subject to change.

What this means for PC and Xbox players

For PC and console gamers, this is a new way to pay for a subscription they might already have. It's also a sign that Microsoft is pushing Game Pass through partners as well as its own storefront. Game Pass is competing with streaming services and AI subscriptions for the same Picks. If you're a T-Mobile customer considering it, first check which Pick cost applies to the Game Pass tier you want. Then compare it with what you'd otherwise pay Microsoft directly, once November enrollment details are published.
