Next week's Xbox slate is long: 39 entries run from Monday, November 9, to Friday, November 13. The useful job is sorting out which ones are actually in Game Pass, which ones are Play Anywhere, and which ones carry a "buyer beware" label. The Football Manager 27 listing also needs some untangling.

A gaming setup with a console, controller, laptop, and neon-green game cards illustrating cloud and device compatibility. The Football Manager 27 date puzzle

Xbox Wire's weekly roundup lists Football Manager 27 for November 10 and tags it PC Game Pass. Xbox Wire's Game Pass post from November 3 lists Football Manager 27 (PC) as "Available Today" for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Both are official, and they look contradictory.

Outside reporting explains the gap. Make Tech Easier reports that Football Manager 27 opened in PC early access on Game Pass on November 3, with the full launch on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on November 10. It also says pre-orders on PC, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass granted early access from November 3, which it attributes to Microsoft's October 30 Next Week on Xbox post. I haven't verified that earlier post myself.

The Review Geek likewise says the game will be on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from launch, and that covers the PC version plus FM27 Console on supported Xbox platforms.

For readers, that means:

  • PC subscribers: If you're on Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, you may already be playing the early-access build. Per Make Tech Easier, the Launch Preview appears under Add-Ons on Xbox.com and in the Xbox PC app.
  • Console players: Football Manager 27 Console is a separate listing. Xbox Wire's Game Pass post dates it November 10 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and the roundup also tags it Xbox Play Anywhere.
  • The caveat: The roundup's PC entry is not a new November 10 Game Pass arrival in the strict sense. It is the full release of something that opened earlier.

Confirmed Game Pass additions

Xbox Wire's November 3 Game Pass post independently backs four of the roundup's Game Pass tags. The post describes each as available on day one:

DateGameGame Pass tiers in the Game Pass post
Nov 10Football Manager 27 ConsoleUltimate, PC Game Pass
Nov 10Warhammer SurvivorsUltimate, PC Game Pass
Nov 10TANUKI: Pon's SummerUltimate, PC Game Pass
Nov 11Hope in the CityUltimate, PC Game Pass

The roundup also lists 9 Kings (Game Preview) on November 12 with a Game Pass tag, and PC Game Pass appears in its header. That tag comes only from the roundup. The Game Pass post I reviewed doesn't mention 9 Kings, so I can't confirm the tier. The title is also a Game Preview, so expect rough edges.

The roundup gives no Game Pass tag to any other title this week. Appearing in the roundup does not mean a game is included with a subscription.

What the labels mean

  • Xbox Play Anywhere: Xbox's program for owning a game once and playing it on both Xbox and Windows PC. This is where the PC angle is strongest this week. Many of the small titles carry this badge.
  • Smart Delivery: the console version should install the best build for your hardware. Several of these titles carry both badges, such as TANUKI, Fakin' It XL and Hoop Shoot.
  • Game Preview: Xbox warns that these are unfinished and may change or never reach a final release. Two titles carry it this week: 9 Kings and Last Pirates: Die Together. Xbox's wording is to buy only if you're comfortable with the current state.
  • Pre-order tags and prices: these are the roundup's store-listing figures. They can change, and the descriptions come from publishers rather than independent reviews.

Practical takeaways

  • Check the tier. Of the Game Pass titles, Football Manager 27 Console, Warhammer Survivors, TANUKI and Hope in the City have a second official source behind them. Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass are listed for each in that post.
  • PC players should look at Play Anywhere badges. They signal one purchase covering Xbox and Windows.
  • Treat Game Preview titles as unfinished.
  • Expect shifts. Xbox says release dates are subject to change.

My reading is that this is a Football Manager week with a long tail of budget and niche releases. Most of that tail is small simulators and puzzlers. The Game Pass bookkeeping is the part most likely to trip people up.

Correction (November 6, 2026): An earlier version of this article said the Xbox Wire roundup listed 34 games for November 9-13; it lists 39.
