GUYS FOUND THE SOLUTION! Grab a copy of windows 7 manager from yamicsoft, run the smart uninstaller, it has all the windows live programs, click uninstall and voila all gone done and dusted! W00T!

i also recently went over to dual screen, i also have a 9600gt but im on a laptop, making it a 9600mgt, have you updated nvidia drivers?

in addition to that, make sure windows search is on in the services.

OR, 7127, which is what im using, is the latest version PB will work without producing a Unknown API error.

For antivirus, i suggest Avira free, its keeps my computer clean, and wont let anything remotely dangerous within 200m of my computer :)

I had this problem, all i did was make an extra partition for all my files id like to share,a nd i never bothered going back :)

Hmm, by the sounds of that, windows update hasn't been installed, or is corrupt... somehow.. do a fresh format, and get back to us.

Agreed, it does randomly cut services, hence why i dont use it, and because it chews up ya ram quite badly..

Thats really really wired mate, are you running like a Vlite version or something?

Try this: click start, run, type services.msc , search for BITS, make sure its running, and right dow the bottom, that windows update is running.

Ive never run into this issue.

Something's having a big chomp of that ram.. mind taking a screenshot of your processor's tab?
