100% activity

About this tag
The tag '100% activity' on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about hard drives or disks showing constant 100% activity in Resource Monitor, often without an obvious cause. Users report this issue with specific drives, sometimes linking it to antivirus software like Avast, even when no active scan is running. The problem can cause the drive to remain active continuously, leading to audible drive noise and user concern. Troubleshooting steps include checking for background processes, disabling antivirus temporarily, or taking the drive offline to reset activity. The tag focuses on Windows performance monitoring and disk usage anomalies.
