About this tag
The account sign up tag on WindowsForum.com collects discussion about creating a Microsoft account and the obstacles that can interrupt the process. The tagged content focuses on practical troubleshooting: reusing an email address that Microsoft will not accept, phone numbers already tied to another account, and temporary security or verification delays. Rather than jumping to browser resets or network changes, the guidance stresses reading the actual error message first, since each cause needs a different fix. It also weighs commonly suggested workarounds against Microsoft's own published documentation. This makes the tag useful for anyone stuck during Microsoft account sign up or comparing advice on verification problems.
