About this tag
The active drive tag on WindowsForum.com covers issues related to designating and managing the active partition in Windows, particularly in multi-boot or dual-boot setups. Discussions include marking a drive as active to fix boot problems, such as when Windows 7 is installed on a recovery drive or when multiple Windows entries appear. Other topics involve boot errors like STOP 0xc000021a and autocheck failures, often linked to active drive misconfiguration. Users also troubleshoot SMART monitoring detection failures on active drives, and installation problems where drives do not appear during Windows setup. The tag focuses on practical solutions for drive activation, boot configuration, and related hardware detection issues.

I decided to just split the two 80GB drives between two computers for the OS and put the 320GB in one for files and a...- aceman118
