About this tag
Anycast is a wireless display adapter similar to Chromecast that allows screen mirroring from computers and mobile devices. On WindowsForum.com, users discuss using Anycast with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, noting compatibility issues where older hardware or weak graphics cards may prevent successful casting. Anycast supports two connection modes: direct wireless and through a local area network (LAN). Troubleshooting often involves ensuring both the source device and the adapter are on the same network. While Windows 8.1 systems generally work well, Windows 7 machines with outdated graphics may fail to display wirelessly. Users also compare Anycast with Chromecast, noting that both may have similar limitations depending on the device and network setup.
