About this tag
The Arduino tag on WindowsForum covers discussions about using Arduino microcontrollers with Windows PCs, including troubleshooting device recognition issues in Device Manager, serial communication between Windows and Arduino boards, and sending data like CPU/GPU temperatures or keyboard language status to an Arduino via USB. Advanced projects demonstrate integrating Arduino with Windows 10 UWP apps, voice recognition, and cloud services. The tag also touches on Linux tools like Tio for serial communication and the ArduinOS distribution, which mimics Windows 11. Topics range from beginner hardware setup to complex IoT and multimedia projects, with a focus on Windows-Arduino interaction.

Windows 10 Device not showing up in Device Manager
I have had a particular Arduino Nano working in my PC for about 13 months. Now it doesn't. When I connect, or unplug it, I hear the Windows "device connected/disconnected" sound. However, it does not show up in Device Manager's Com Ports list. (It used to be Com19) Any ideas how to get it back?- djw4250
