About this tag
The artcraft tag on WindowsForum.com follows ArtCraft, an open-source project from developer Brandon Thomas and team that ships seven Rust-based creative apps as free Adobe alternatives for Windows. Coverage centers on what these rough alpha builds actually deliver for image editing, vector illustration, video, layout, and motion design, and which are safe to try today versus worth skipping. Because the apps are early-stage and partly built with AI assistance, discussion leans practical: Windows compatibility, stability, and realistic expectations for anyone testing open-source creative tooling before it matures.
