automatic brightness
About this tag
The automatic brightness tag on WindowsForum.com covers user issues with Windows 10's adaptive brightness feature. Common problems include the brightness slider missing from Display settings, auto brightness not working correctly, and the toggle for automatic brightness not appearing. These issues often occur on PCs with Intel HD Graphics and may require driver updates or registry tweaks. The tag also references Windows 10 Insider Preview builds where automatic brightness settings were introduced or modified. Discussions focus on troubleshooting steps such as checking display drivers, adjusting power settings, and verifying sensor functionality. Users seek solutions for both desktop and mobile devices running Windows 10.
I am running Intel HD Graphics with ver. 10.18.10.4358 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2. I used to have a brightness slider before, but lately, it has disappeared. I have tried everything, to no avail. When I went to Notifications and Actions, I saw nothing in there to do with displays.
