About this tag
Avidemux is a free, open-source video editing and conversion tool discussed on WindowsForum.com in the context of Windows 7. Users mention it as a powerful alternative to VirtualDub for tasks like cutting, remuxing, and converting video files. It supports a wide range of input formats and includes its own decoders and encoders for common audio and video codecs, including h264. Some users report compatibility issues with Avidemux on Windows 7, while others recommend it as part of the K-Lite Video Conversion Pack. The tool is often suggested for converting MOV files from cameras or for general video processing when other software like VirtualDub lacks codec support.
